It’s the 4th of July y’all!! It’s time for fireworks, cookouts & an over abundance of over styled clothes in various shades of red, white & blue. We are America & we love any excuse to booze & dress up. I am so exception to this, I don’t know if it’s from me being in a sorority but I love any excuse to dress up for a theme. There are do’s & don’ts to dressing up for a themed celebration but honestly it’s the 4th of July, I feel like the rule book can be flipped through quickly when it comes to this holiday. It’s the dead of summer and it’s hotter than you know what outside with this being said, less is more. A bikini is the most appropriate and most likely outfit selection especially since most spend it on some body of water, be it a lake, river or at the beach. If you’re not into being draped in stars & stripes just mix and match your bikini top & bottom in shades of red, white or blue, throw on a sandal in one of these colors & top your head with a fun oversized hat & you’re all set. If you’ll be indoors or are not one to bare it all in swimwear, keep it simple in cutover denim, a fun sandal, tank top, V-neck or a crop top & add a pop of color with jewelry & a handbag.

If you want to add a little prep in your step slip on a solid red, white or blue dress, accent with pops of color in your jewelry & slide on a pair of sandals, a wedge or even boots if you want to add a dash of southern sass to your look.
